Ajatar is a dragon or serpent from Finnish mythology and is not a creature associated with goodness. Instead, Ajatar is a creature for disease, destruction, and brings sorrow and death wherever she goes.

Ajatar is depicted in more than one way, sometimes as a dragon or serpent, and at other times as a woman who is an evil spirit or one of the Pain Maidens. Either way, she is not a bringer of good fortune, and it would be advised to avoid contact with her or risk developing a serious disease or dying a rather nasty death.
